A Splash of Color in the Storm
The village of Sundervan was buzzing with excitement as Holi approached. Among the eager festival - goers were three best friends - Mia, the hardworking ant; Kalu, the playful crow; and Golu, the slow but steady tortoise.
Every year, the animals celebrated Holi with bright colors made from flower petals. But this time, a sudden storm swept through the village, drenching and scattering their stored colors just a day before the festival. The once - cheerful animals now sat gloomily, convinced that Holi would be colorless this year.
Mia refused to give up. "We still have time," she said. "If we work together, we can gather new petals!" Kalu flapped his wings in agreement, but Golu hesitated. "The storm broke many flowers, and the fields are muddy. It won’t be easy."
Still, they set out on their mission. Kalu soared high, searching for fresh flowers, but strong winds made flying difficult. Mia scurried across the fields, but the wet ground kept swallowing her tiny feet. Golu, carrying the biggest load, struggled through thick mud, moving painfully slow.
As exhaustion crept in, Kalu sighed, "Maybe the others were right. It’s too much work." But Mia, covered in mud yet determined, reminded them, "Holi isn’t just about colors - it’s about the joy of bringing color back, no matter the struggle."
Recharged by her words, they pushed on. Kalu used his beak to pluck the highest flowers, Mia found dry petals hidden under leaves, and Golu, despite his slow pace, carried them safely to the village. By morning, they had gathered enough colors to celebrate.
As the first splash of bright pink filled the air, laughter erupted. Golden yellow dusted the deer, streaks of blue raced across the rabbits, and the peacock twirled, its feathers alive with bursts of orange and magenta.
Even Golu, usually covered in earthy tones, found himself splattered in red, green, and gold. Just as he grinned, a gust of wind sent a cloud of deep purple straight onto his face. He blinked, then chuckled,
"Looks like slow and steady doesn’t just win the race - it wins the color war too!"
Flash: In life, setbacks often wash away our progress, just like the storm took away the colors of Sundervan. But, like Mia, Kalu, and Golu, if we stay patient, work hard, and keep moving forward despite the challenges, we can always bring back the colors of our success.
Moral: Hard work, patience, and consistency always lead to a vibrant outcome, no matter how tough the journey gets.
Life is like Holi - the more colors of effort, patience, and perseverance you add, the more beautiful it becomes!!
