From Floods to Finish

In a lively jungle, there was a cheerful ant named Tiku who loved starting projects. He'd dig tunnels, build tiny bridges from twigs, and weave leaf baskets - always buzzing with ideas. His friend, a wise old tortoise named Taru, watched him with amusement. "Tiku," Taru would say, "you start so much, but why don't you finish?" Tiku would laugh, "There's always tomorrow, Taru! New ideas keep coming!"

One monsoon, the river swelled, threatening to flood the jungle paths. Tiku had an idea - he'd build a small dam with mud and stones to redirect the water. He worked hard, piling up the mud, but halfway through, he spotted shiny berries and darted off to make a basket for them. The next day, he started a tunnel instead, leaving the dam incomplete. Soon, the water crept closer, and the animals grew worried. Taru trudged over, his slow voice firm. "Tiku, you must close what you start, or we'll all be in trouble."

Tiku felt a pang of guilt. He looked at the half-done dam, the unfinished tunnel, and the scattered twigs. This time, he decided to stick to it. He scurried back, piling mud and stones, ignoring the tempting berries and new ideas. Taru joined him, steady and calm, and together they finished the dam just as the rain poured harder. The water flowed safely away, and the jungle cheered.

Later, under a shady tree, Tiku grinned at Taru. "I get it now - closing one thing properly feels better than starting ten." Taru nodded wisely.

Flash: Unfinished tasks, like Tiku's dam, can pile up and flood our lives with stress - be it a pending email, a delayed project, or a forgotten promise. Completing what you pick up not only clears the mess but paves the way for true closures, earning you trust and respect from others.

Moral: Commitment to closure turns small efforts into big wins. It's not just about starting well, but seeing things through to the end that matters.

A task half-done is a promise half-kept!!
