From Stones to Smiles: Momo's Big Lesson

Once upon a time, in a green forest near a small Indian village, lived Momo, a playful monkey with a naughty streak. Momo's favorite spot was Amara, a kind old mango tree by the river. Amara's branches were heavy with juicy mangoes, which it shared with everyone - chirpy birds, scampering squirrels, and village kids who'd run up with baskets. Momo would swing in, grab the ripest mangoes, and sometimes tease the kids by tossing pits their way. Oh, Momo!

One summer, a fierce storm roared through the forest. Thunder boomed, and Amara's branches cracked, its mangoes splashing into the muddy river. The animals were upset. "Amara, you've let us down!" squawked the parrots. Momo, missing his mango treats, was furious. In a huff, he threw stones at Amara, leaving scars on its trunk. The squirrels chattered, "Momo, that's mean!" but he just scampered off.

Amara, though, stayed calm. It didn't curse the storm or Momo's stones. Instead, it drank in the sunlight, welcomed the rain, and stood tall. Over months, tiny buds appeared, then new branches, and soon, mangoes sweeter than ever dangled from its boughs. The forest buzzed with wonder. A curious squirrel nibbled a mango and asked, "Amara, how did you grow back after all that?" Amara's leaves swayed gently. "Anger would've withered me. I forgave the storm, the stones, and the harsh words. Growing again was my choice."

Momo, hiding in a nearby tree, overheard this. His heart sank like a stone in the river. Amara had fed him for years, yet he'd hurt it. Feeling small, he climbed up and said, "Amara, I'm sorry for throwing stones and being selfish. Can you forgive me?" Amara's branches rustled softly. "Momo, I already have. Take my mangoes, but share them with others this time."

From that day, Momo was different. He stopped his tricks and carried mangoes to the village kids, who cheered, "Momo's our hero!" The squirrels joined in, and the forest hummed with joy. Amara stood prouder, its roots deeper, its mangoes a gift to all.

Flash: We all face hurtful words, tough days, or moments when anger feels easier. Amara's story teaches us to forgive, share, and choose kindness instead. A small gesture - like a smile, an apology, or helping a colleague - can spark positivity. By letting go of grudges, we create happier homes, workplaces, and communities, just like Amara's joyful forest.

Moral: Like Amara, choosing forgiveness over anger and selflessness over greed can heal wounds and bring new beginnings. Kindness, even when it's hard, spreads happiness far and wide.

Forgive like a tree grows - quietly, strongly, and always reaching for the sun!!
